Iranian President Pays Official Visit to Armenia
Accompanied by several members of his cabinet, Pezeshkian's delegation is undertaking this formal tour, as stated on the presidency’s official website.
During his stay in Yerevan, Pezeshkian is scheduled to hold discussions with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and jointly lead a meeting with senior representatives from both nations to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral relations.
The visit is expected to culminate in the signing of multiple cooperation agreements. Additionally, Pezeshkian is set to meet with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, the statement detailed.
Prior to his journey, Pezeshkian emphasized that advancing ties with neighboring and ideologically aligned countries is a key priority for Iran.
He highlighted that the memorandums of understanding and agreements anticipated during the visit would contribute to establishing "favourable economic and social grounds" for the nation.
